Table Decoration from KYOTO

This project presents table decoration inspired by traditional Japanese shibori and indigo dyeing (Japan Blue). Blending Japanese aesthetics with Western dining, I create table settings using hand-dyed organic textiles. The deep indigo tones and delicate shibori patterns bring a sense of quiet beauty to everyday dining. Beyond visual appeal, the work also conveys the warmth of handcraft and the texture of natural materials. I will also present and sell hand-dyed table napkins, aprons, and shibori denim pieces. Based in Kyoto, I am delighted to introduce Kyoto’s culture in Sydney, where I spent my twenties.
