Celebration of the 45th Anniversary of
Sydney and Nagoya as Sister Cities

Nagoya and Sydney established their sister city relationship on September 16, 1980. Currently, the two cities actively engage in exchanges across various fields such as culture, education, sports, and the economy. Notably, there is an active exchange of animals between Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens and Taronga Zoo.
In 2025, various commemorative events will be held in Sydney, marking the 45th anniversary of the sister city partnership. At JAPAN EXPO Sydney, with the cooperation of the SYDNEY NAGOYA SISTER CITY COMMITTEE, we will showcase the attractions of Nagoya to the people of Sydney through tourism panels and by offering Nagoya cuisine.
