Let's take a commemorative photo with Hachimaru at the photo panel at the venue entrance!
Hachimaru, Danamo, Ebizabesu, and Kanaecchi were born as mascots for the Nagoya 400th Anniversary Festival in 2010. Since 2011, they have been promoting Nagoya City as the Official Mascots of Nagoya City.
Hachimaru
Hachimaru was born in Nagoya in 1610, the same year that Nagoya was founded. Hachimaru loves interacting with people and travels all over Nagoya.
Inside the furoshiki (wrapping cloth) is Kanaecchi, the wishing star, which Hachimaru has been giving to people Hachimaru meets to continue exchanges.
In 2010, Hachimaru celebrated the 400th birthday of Hachimaru's beloved Nagoya with friends, and will continue traveling around so that everyone can learn about the charm of Nagoya from now on.
